INTERPRETATION OF THE RESULTS

Negative: The control line (C) is the only visible line in the test device window. This indicates that there is no detectable Zika NS1 virus antigen . If symptoms persist, a new sample should be drawn from the patient in 3-5 days and then should be retested.

Positive: The control line and test line (T) are visible lines on the test device window. This indicates that the individual was infected with Zika NS1 virus and contained detectable antigen.

Invalid: If the control line does not appear in the test device window, the test results are invalid regardless of whether there are other visible lines in the test position. Retest with a new device.

NOTE: The intensity of the color in the test line(T) position will vary depending on the concentration of Zika NS1 virus antigen present in the specimen. Therefore, any shade of color in the test line (T) position should be considered positive.
